This article is meant to take a look at Ohio’s open and concealed carry laws so that you folks can get a better idea what is and is not legal in the state.
These issues were in a stalemate, at least until Monday, when Common Pleas Judge Shirley Strickland-Saffold removed several of Cleveland’s firearms ordinances.
Effective immediately, citizens of Ohio who posses a valid concealed handgun permit will no longer be submitted to the state background check when purchasing a firearm from a licensed dealer.
Next week several pro-gun rights bills will be heard and considered in the Ohio senate.
