Toledo Concealed Carrier Defends Her Friend From Abusive Boyfriend

Toledo Ohio DGU

It’s becoming more commonplace to hear about the strength of women in today’s society. From movies, to sports, to the business world we hear about women and showing that these are not the 50’s housewives and homemakers we are used to. An incident in North Toledo on Saturday again proved that messing with a woman, especially a well-armed woman might just send you home hurting.

This incident started at around 4:30 in the morning on Saturday and started when Dale LaFountaine Jr. dropped off his girlfriend whose name is being kept private at this time at her friend Jennifer Farborther’s home on the 100 block of Gradolph Street.

Originally, this drop-off was thought to be the only time the three would meet, but 45 minutes later a dispute began when LaFountaine Jr. returned to Farborther’s residence and attempted to forcibly drag his girlfriend out the front door.

Well, Jennifer wasn’t going to stand for seeing her best friend attacked like this so, as a licensed concealed carrier she did what she had to do and pulled her weapon on LaFountaine Jr.

This did not deter LaFountaine Jr.’s attack as he then proceeded to begin choking his girlfriend. Fearing for her friend’s life, Jennifer then fired one shot at LaFountaine Jr. striking him in his calf.

This got LaFountaine Jr. to stop the assault on his girlfriend and gave Jennifer time to call the authorities who arrived shortly thereafter and took him to the hospital for his wound.

LaFountaine Jr. has since been charged with aggravated burglary and is currently sitting in a Toledo jailhouse.

As for Jennifer, after saving her friend from this disgusting attack, authorities say she will not be charged due to her defensive use of her firearm.

If you’re going to smack a woman around, doing so within two blocks of the Fraternal Order Of Police office and the pd patrol car service garage is frankly pretty stupid.
